Battery collection

Engels has developed a number of collection containers especially for the storage and collection of small batteries. The battery boxes are fitted with one, two or three compartments for regular batteries, NiCd batteries and button cells. The battery tube is for the collection of a single type. You can choose between a model that stands on the ground or one that stands on a table. These collection containers are also well suited for the collection of mobile telephones and other electric/electronic devices.

ADR/UN-approved containers for safe storage and transport

If containers are used for the transport of hazardous substances (including waste), they are subject to the ADR packaging rules when transported by land. There are requirements pertaining to the labelling and printing, sealing (including liquid tightness), and resistance to damage from falling and stacking at high and low temperatures. Over the years we have developed considerable expertise in this area.

Hospital bins

We offer you an affordable and complete system for the transport of hospital waste based on our many years of experience in the European market. Compliant with relevant UN packaging requirements.

Collection of fluorescent and energy-saving lamps

In February 2003, a new worldwide public/private initiative was begun to address the matter of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Engels supplies various collection companies, such as Recylum and Wecycle, with equipment needed to handle the logistics of lamp collection.

Household chemical and hazardous waste collection

Waste such as oil, inks and solvents doesn't belong in normal waste incineration plants, much less in the landfill or sewer. Engels has developed a number of recycling containers especially for the storage and collection of household chemical waste. During the 1980s and 90s, Engels was the first to deliver large quantities of recycling containers to municipalities throughout the Netherlands. Today we supply the same concept to municipalities in England, France and Scandinavia.
