Engels has been involved in waste separation for more than two decades. We have already delivered millions of recycling containers, paper bins and mini-containers to countries throughout Europe. Today the trend is to take measures that will prevent collection companies from having to perform excessively heavy work. The emphasis has shifted from pick-up to drop-off systems. In 2005, with this in mind, Engels introduced its product line of underground and semi-underground waste containers. Underground waste collection has a number of significant advantages over collection with the familiar 2- and 4-wheel wheelie bins.
- First of all, the volume is considerably greater (up to 5000 litres), which reduces emptying costs.
- It is also a solution that occupies exceptionally little space and is therefore ideal for urban areas.
- The steel construction also makes it exceptionally fire resistant.
